Oxshott Way Residents Association Ltd. ('OWRA') owns the Estate roads, verges, common areas and infrastructure. The Board of OWRA is elected by the owners with a mandate to represent the interests of all of the owners on the Estate. Directors and volunteers give their time freely.

The activities of the Company are funded mainly from the annual and re-development contributions paid by owners. The contribution levels are set each year at the AGM.

The Company's principle expense is road resurfacing every few years which is paid for out of the Estate's reserves, along with other one-off costs. These reserves are built up through Development Contributions which crystallise on the homeowner (or Developer) and are payable to the Estate when a property is fully or substantially rebuilt, remodelled or extended. Annual expenditure varies somewhat but includes:

  • Road Maintenance

  • Maintenance of the islands and the trees on the verges

  • Road Sweeping

  • Gates, signs and lights

  • Maintenance of surface water drains

  • Legal Costs (usually linked to housing developments)

  • Administration (including insurances)
